Hey all! Today marks my first report from the wonderful Central Ward, which is where I've been serving for the past week! Upon my arrival last Tuesday I quickly found out that A) we cover the area I thought we did, including downtown, UofA, and Reid Park, and B) we are a bike area and we bike to all parts of our area from our apartment near the University. In addition to being the neighborhood family ward, our ward is the married student ward for the University of Arizona, and we get to ride through the UofA campus on a daily basis though we don't do any work there. I enjoy biking around our area though it can be physically tiring at times, and it's been really fun meeting all of the members, investigators, and people here in the area. It's actually pretty similar to Valencia Ward, surprisingly, though the area is a bit more secular. We also get 1 o'clock church again, which is awesome! It's been a busy week. We've done quite a bit of service, including working on a Minecraft-themed bedroom for a member's son, planting trees, landscaping yards, and generally fun stuff like that! It's been a party! We do a lot more member work here than in the Valencia Ward, which has been fun too. We also attended a baptism for our district last week from another ward! It was a wonderful spiritual experience and I was very glad to have the opportunity to attend that. I very much miss the families from Valencia Ward, but I'm doing well here in Central Ward and I'm glad to be able to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit in going where God wants me to go and doing what He wants me to do. The future is bright and exciting! God bless y'all. Elder Brannon Arizona Tucson Mission
I don't have any photos from Central Ward yet, but here's a photo of me at the Tucson temple back in December. Enjoy!
