¡Mi Semana Primera en Tucson Arizona: Muy Buen y Muy Picante!

English translation available below. ¡Hola mis amigos y familia! Hoy es el día última de mi semana primera en Tucson. ¡Mi misión es el mejor! Yo llegué el lunes pasado, y he estado trabajando mucho desde entonces. Mi vuelo fue muy bien y yo llegué a conocer algunos élderes muy interesantes en el avión. Luego salí el aeropuerto, y descubrí inmediantamente ue Tucson es muy caliente. Estoy en Tucson Sur, o "Mexico Pequeño". ¡Que interesante! La comida es super bien, y la gente son muy humildes. Como misioneros la gente son muy simpáticos y podemos ir lugares no podemos ir normalmente. Si podemos traer la gente a Cristo.... La gente son fabuloso. Me encanta. Mis compañeros son Élderes Hale (el líder de nuestro distrito) y Richards. ¡Ambos son gran y muy simpáticos también! Élder Brannon La Misión de Arizona Tucson -- English Translation: Hey! Hola friends and family! Today is the final day of my first week in Tucson. My mission is the best! I arrived last Monday, and I've been working hard ever since. My flight went very well and I got to know some very interesting elders on the plane. Then I left the airport, and immediately discovered that Tucson is very hot. I'm in South Tucson, or "Little Mexico." How interesting! The food is super good, and the people are very humble. They are very kind too and I have yet to have a bad experience with anyone. But, one guy offered us LSD and one of our friends [investigators is no longer the term] was shot while down in Mexico. As missionaries the people are very nice and we can go places we can't go normally. If we can bring the people to Christ... The people are awesome. I love them. My companions are Elders Hale (the mission leader) and Richards. They are both great and very nice too! They're both from Utah, so normally I say I'm from Seattle, Utah, and Texas, all at once. My background as a Catholic and a convert with my family has been a very great help when teaching. I think (I hope!) that we get along very well. We went to zone conference on Wednesday too, and I got to meey many great missionaries! I got to know the APs too, there and in the airport: they are the best and very nice as well! Everyone is super nice. Unfortunately, I can't talk to them because my phone filter is broken. But, I've added a photo of my companions to this letter. Yes yes yes -- stories! After my arrival, my companions and I went to a Mexican restaurant. I ate a very spicy pepper... it was whitish-green and tasty, but very spicy! I have a video for next week. And, we're teaching many friends (investigators is no longer the term), but many aren't interested in our lessons, but are too nice to say no. But, some are interested, and we have one family in particular who we hope will be baptized. We also have others who are very solid. For y'all this week, however, I'm just going to talk about the first family. They are the best. Elder Richards says they're actually the most solid people he's ever seen. They remind me of my family a lot because they already know a lot about the church and have already tried to go to church with their friends, but went at the wrong time. They ask a lot of questions and I love responding to them! We really hope they are baptized! They are great. Either way, I have a photo in this email, and I hope y'all have a great time back at home.
