Semana Dos: Empezando CTM

Centro de Capacitación Misional (CCM) refers to the Missionary Training Center (MTC).

English Title Translation: "Week Two: Starting MTC"

¡Hola mi familia y mis amigos! Mi semana segunda en el CCM ahora es terminado, y estoy muy emocionado por la semana próxima. Mi tiempo en el CCM ha sido bien, pero difícil. Sin embargo, por el poder del Espíritu Santo, todas las cosas son posibles. Aunque, es difícil de todas maneras. Felizmente, esto ha sido una experiencia muy bueno y me siento bueno sobre continuando.

Yo hago tener alguno sentimiento que debo agregar un pasaje a esta entrada de blog. A causa del CCM, yo he memorizado cuatro escrituras y otros pasajes, y voy a escribir uno — el objetivo de los misioneros — aquí:

La experiencia de CCM virtual ha sido muy bien, y un cambio a la misión desde casa tiene menos problemas. Pero, es más difícil a ignorar el mundo en mi casa. ¡Es una aventura! Mi distrito es muy bueno, mi compañero es guay, y tengo muchas ganas de que sucede luego.

Uno nota más — yo prometí a decir sobre los quesos. Estoy probando quesos diferentes en mi misión. Yo pienso el queso primero es los quesos de Tillamook; mi padre compró eses para nuestras comidas esta semana, y yo los probé. Fueron bien. Todos fueron cheddar: medio, ácido, ácido extra, y blanco ácido extra. Otra vez, fueron bien, pero he probado Tillamook (es de Oregón) antes de ahora. Fueron bien aunque. Comería otra vez.

Para esta semana, yo fui al supermercado hoy y compré tres quesos: uno de España, uno de Suiza, y uno de Utah. Yo voy a informar sobre esos la próxima semana. (Ya comí uno, pero todos serán juntos.)

English Translation:

Hello, my family and friends! My second week in the MTC is now over, and I'm very excited for next week. My time in the MTC has been good, but difficult. However, by the power of the Holy Spirit, all things are possible. Though, it's difficult nonetheless. Happily, this has been a very good experience and I feel good about continuing.

I do have some feeling that I should add a passage to this blog post. Thanks to the MTC, I have memorized four scriptures and other passages, and will write one — the Missionary Purpose — here:

• Spanish: "Invitar a las personas a venir a Cristo al ayudarles a que reciban el Evangelio restaurado mediante la fe en Jesucristo y su Expiación, el arrepentimiento, el bautismo, la recepción del don del Espíritu Santo, y el perseverar hasta el fin."

• English: "Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end."
  

Some of you may know some of those words! To fulfill this purpose, we are taught in the MTC. I know that many of you probably are thinking about the MTC experience during the pandemic. It's online. The virtual MTC experience has been very good, and the change to the mission from home has fewer problems [note: I meant to say "the transition is smoother" but my Spanish vocabulary is limited]. But, it is more difficult to ignore the world in my house. It's an adventure! My district is very good, my companion is cool, and I look forward to what happens next.

One more note — I promised to talk about the cheeses. I'm tasting different cheeses on my mission. I think the first cheese are the Tillamook cheeses; my father bought those for our food this week, and I tried them. They were good. All were cheddar: medium, sharp, extra sharp, and white extra sharp. Again, they were good, but I've tried Tillamook (from Oregon) before now. They were good though. Would eat again.

For next week, I went to the supermarket today and bought three cheeses: one from Spain, one from Switzerland, and one from Utah. I am going to report about those next week. (I already ate one, but all will be together.)

Perhaps I will publish photos next week too.
