Siempray — Una Otra Semana de Capacitación

Centro de Capacitación Misional (CCM) refers to the Missionary Training Center (MTC).

English Title Translation: "Siempray — Another Week of Training"

The title includes "Siempray" as a play-on-words from our MTC class: "siempre" (pronounced the same) is Spanish for "always;" so when we ask "how do you keep the Spirit with you always?," the answer is "siempray" (or a pun on pray always).

I cannot guarantee that any of this Spanish is correct.

¡Hola mi familia y mis amigos! Esta semana pasada fue muy buen, con mucho capacitación (como el titulo dice) y mucho divertido. Pero, primero yo voy a hablar sobre los quesos.

Tres quesos:

• Wrangeback (de Suecia)

• Leonora (de España)

• Hatch Chile Cheddar (de Utah, en los Estados Unidos)

El primero de estes es un queso de vaca, y en el supermercado fue descrito como "la marca más antigua de queso de Suecia." Fue buen: lechoso, suave, y firme, como una granja. Yo recomendaría como un queso suave pero distinto cuando comiendo. Y, el hecho que lo es un tipo antiguo de queso es interesante.

Y, el segundo de estes es un queso de cabra, pero el supermercado no tuvo un descripción sobre lo. Es de España (cerca de Leon, la fuente del sistema parlamentario), y tiene dos partes: uno exterior, uno interior. La mayoría de quesos tiene esto, pero la parte exterior en este queso es muy grande y mullido, no duro. Es un queso muy ácido, muy fuerte, y se desmigaja. Tiene un regusto suave, sin embargo. Fue buen.

El tercero queso fue buen también. Mi madre y yo (quienes fueron al supermercado) compraron este queso para mi padre, a quien le gusta chile. Aunque lo es un queso cheddar, lo fue como queso Gruyère también, pero con chile. Fue interesante y lo me gustó.

Yo tengo cuatro más quesos para la semana próxima. Yo describiré en mi entrada próxima.

Después de los quesos, esta semana fue muy buen. Mi distrito es muy espiritual y nosotros estamos aprendiendo mucho español, y mucho sobre el Evangelio. Tenemos una cosa, se llama el "CRE" (Centro de Recursos de Enseñando). Con esta cosa, enseñamos personas quienes están considerando la iglesia (investigadores, pero no usamos esa palabra hoy día). Mi compañero (Élder Hunt) y yo hemos enseñado seis tiempos. Es muy difícil, pero yo pienso que nosotros hemos hecho muy buen. Los investigadores son muy simpáticos y me encanta trabajar con ellos.

English Translation:

Hello family and friends! This last week was very good, with a lot of training (as the title says) and much fun. But, first I will talk about the cheeses.

Three cheeses:

• Wrangeback (from Sweden)

• Leonora (from Spain)

• Hatch Chile Cheddar (from Utah, in the United States)

The first of these is a cow cheese, and in the supermarket was described as "the oldest brand of cheese in Sweden." It was good: milky, smooth, and firm, like a farm. I would recommend as a smooth, but distinct cheese when eating. And, the fact that it is an old type of cheese is interesting.

And, the second of this is a goat cheese, but the supermarket did not have a description for it. It is from Spain (near Leon, the source of the parliamentary system), and has two parts: one exterior, one interior. Most cheese have this, but the exterior part in this cheese is very large and soft, not hard. It is a very acidic, very strong, crumbly cheese. It has a smooth aftertaste, however. It was good.

The third cheese was good too. My mother and I (who went to the supermarket) bought this cheese for my father, who loves chile. Though it is a cheddar cheese, it was similar to Gruyère too, but with chile. It was interesting and I liked it.

I have three more cheeses for next week. I will describe them in my next blog post.

Beyond the cheeses, this week was very good. My district is very spiritual and we are learning a lot of Spanish, alongside a lot about the Gospel. We have a thing, called "TRC" (Teaching Resource Center). With this thing, we teach people who are considering the church (investigators, though we don't use that word nowadays). My companion (Elder Hunt) and I have taught six times. It is very difficult, but I think we have done very well. The investigators are very nice and I love working with them.
