¡Oye!

English translation available below.

Aun ahora, no he algunos experiencias malas. ¡Aun después de tres semanas! No experiencias malas. ¡Estoy asombrado!

"With regards to myself: I believe that I am making strides in adjusting to missionary life and in improving my ability to advance the work with the help of the Spirit. With the upcoming transfer, I hope to train faster and more effectively with more experience derived from the increased proactivity required of me by the new companionship structure. I have found that I am happy living the missionary life, and the incredible experiences I have been blessed with interacting with our friends, people on the street, members, and other missionaries has been enormously helpful with regards to my personal growth. I gave a talk in church on Sunday, which went very well. I was unable to write the whole thing, managing only about half due to my busy schedule, and for the first time improvised a great deal of it using pre-planned quotes and scriptures. As the scriptures say, if we open our mouths they shall be filled. A story I didn't even think of before that moment popped into my head and I shared it. Apparently my (but really the Spirit's) talk was exactly what one of the other companionship's friends needed. Then the same topic came up later that night with another one of our friends and I was able to draw upon similar experiences. How cool is that?"

English Translation:

Once again your friend Elder Brannon is here to talk about his adventures in Tucson. Don't worry, the highlight of your week has arrived! But in all reality, I have a lot to say and am having a great time in the Southwest.

Much of my week was affected by the election, though we continue to teach. I won't say much more about that, but I do think that the results are very interesting and I look forward to looking at them when I return from mission. I hope that you are all doing well with everything surrounding the election.

Other things from this week: some very good dinners with great stories from the members, and many new people. The family we've been teaching, about whom I spoke in the past, is progressing and we are actually hoping for multiple baptisms (or dates) this transfer. I very much enjoy the work, and I enjoy the mission life. I feel very good regarding my life both during and after the mission. And I get to meet so many super awesome people! There are so many cool people in South Tucson. I love them all very much. Even now, I have yet to have any bad experiences. Even after three weeks! No bad experiences. I am amazed! Perhaps during the next week? I hope not. It's a worldview now. From my letter to the Mission President: "With regards to myself: I believe that I am making strides in adjusting to missionary life and in improving my ability to advance the work with the help of the Spirit. How cool is that?" Either way, the next transfer I will have just one companion. Elder Hale is going to another companionship, but he will remain in the same district. Elder Richards and I will miss him. But, as it says above, I think that I will learn more during the next transfer. This transfer was very good however and I am happy that I was able to be part of a trio with Elder Hale (he is very fun and is a great missionary). Into the future! No cheeses this week (there are no super interesting cheeses at Walmart, honestly), but I have a photo with Esperanza (the cactus from the Catholic mission) and Poomba (the javelina plushie)! Until next week! Elder Brannon Arizona Tucson Mission
