Wo, oah! We're halfway there!

Dear readers,
This week I'll make it short and sweet. We've had not one, not two, but nine flat tires on our bikes this week (plus one day): eight days for nine flats! Despite this and other tribulations, the work goes on and we have an upcoming baptism to prepare. We have also seen a number of tender mercies from the Lord after each trial, and so I am reminded of the following verse:
"For after much tribulation, as I [the Lord] have said unto you in a former commandment, cometh the blessing." (D&C 103:12)
I have just a year left on my mission as of last Monday, and will have been out on my mission for a year as of the Thursday after this. Because of this, I'm in this strange intermediate period where today is my only August 16th as a missionary. It's a wild and introspective time for my mission! I'm looking forward to all of the personal growth that should continue next year. It's been incredible being able to talk to people with such dissimilar backgrounds each day; I've learned a lot.
Also it hailed... in August!
I hope you are all doing well.

2) Rain over Nogales. It sounded like a few dozen dogs were barking down in the valley when I took this photo.
